sadly... our Libby Dibby spinny skirts are part of the CPSIA's range of children's items that can no longer be sold after Feb 9th.
If you're interested in buying a Libby Dibby spinny skirt for your little girl or little friend, though they are (obviously) not tainted with lead - the new law makes it impossible for me to sell them (without an extremely expensive testing process) without risking jail time and a $100,000 fine.
so these happy little skirts will make a sad "so long"
if you want them, please let us know... we can sell for a few more days - and then after that ... well, they're gone.
I'll put them on sale in the etsy shop...
That law must be changed!
ReplyDeleteyou have got to be kidding me - i am so, SO sorry for this! the good news is that i predict you will be inspired in a whole new way and start designing stuff even more amazing than your children's line. the designers always have the upper hand in these things (because they are the creative ones) - even at times if it doesn't feel like it. so hang in there, girlfriend! and in the meantime, i hope you sell out of your skirts in the next few days!! :)
ReplyDeleteyes - this is a super bummer. I am blessed because most of my business is NOT for children, but thousands of small business owners are being put out of business.
ReplyDeletePlease - EVERYONE - sign the petitions, call your congress-person... we need this to change...
for more information - read this... as it has lots of information...
