can't stop thinking about

dresses.
i am now on a quest for the perfect sundress... i have no idea how to describe it - because i will know it when i see it, but this reminds me of the summer i spent in florence, italy.
i have unbelievable shopping luck, and always have - but this was unheard of.
i still wear some of the dresses (the ones i fit) that I bought that summer.
by the end of the summer, i was hiding them from the people around me as i brought them into our house - i may have been buying one a day on a starving student's budget - but i had to have them.
i still don't regret buying them.

Making lemonade

On my way to a boutique yesterday, I was an hour into the drive when I
got a call from J. "you didn't mean to leave this big white basket,
did you?" (um no. The one with my tablecloth, displays, money, receipt
book and change of clothes? Oh man.)
I arrived, with a stop at a grocery store for cash and an emergency
tablecloth and a venti latte... Found this couch cover that I had been
meaning to return to use as a tablecloth, and made lemonade from my
lemons.
It turned out to be an okay day after all. I brought my handstamped
charms and for the first time, had the nerve to make them on the spot.
(I sold out)

Few and far between

Scenes like this (sans the wrinkles) were a lot more plentiful when I
was in college in Malibu... But even a hard earned half hour at the
beach alone is good these days.

Am I man enough?

Since I was a little kid, I have loved Pocky sticks

(among many other Japanese treats!)

... I grew up in a neighborhood where I was a
minority, so I had quite the exposure.
Anyhow, I recently saw these and laughed out loud.

Why on earth do only men get the dark chocolate?
I originally bought a pack for J, but ate most of them...

With a three year old as the senior designer on this project, it was a
new experience, but we had a lot of fun making it together.
(well, she thought she was the senior designer... the actual hands often get the last say... though the button choices were all hers)
I have to say I'm quite proud of us as we both lean over of to take photos with our camera phones ...
Hers only shows up on the screen as Minnie Mouse,
while mine goes to the world wide web.
